1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by a website in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can remember a preference without sending a cookie with every request. This policy uses “cookies” as a convenient term for both where appropriate.
2. Strictly necessary technologies
These support core functions such as security, WordPress sessions, form protection, comment preferences and remembering your cookie choice. The site cannot provide the same functionality without them, so they do not rely on optional analytics consent.

3. Google Analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand aggregated usage, including pages viewed, approximate location, device or browser category, referral source and interaction events. Google may set or read identifiers such as _ga and related cookies. We use these insights to improve content and site performance, not to sell personal data. Analytics retention and international processing are governed by our Google Analytics configuration and Google’s applicable terms.
4. Hosting and server logs
Our shared hosting provider processes technical server logs, which can include IP address, browser details, requested URL and time of request. Server logs are not browser cookies, but we disclose them because they are part of operating and securing the site.
5. Managing your choice
On your first visit, the consent panel lets you choose “Accept all” or “Necessary only”. You can also delete site data in your browser to reset that choice. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect comments, login areas or other site features. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
6. Third-party content
If a page embeds third-party video, maps or social content, that provider may process information under its own policy. We aim to avoid activating optional third-party tracking before an appropriate choice has been made, but external links take you to services we do not control.
7. Updates
