Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
IRVISIT (“IRVISIT”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates this travel website and acts as the controller of personal data collected through it. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it and the choices available to you.
2. Information we collect
Enquiries and trip bookings
When you contact us or request a trip proposal, we may collect your name, email address, nationality or country of residence, preferred dates, group size, travel interests, accessibility or dietary requirements, message history and any other information you choose to provide. Form submissions may be delivered to our business email and stored in the WordPress database so our team can respond and keep a record of the enquiry.
Comments
When visitors leave comments, WordPress collects the information shown in the comment form together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string. We use this information for moderation, security and spam detection. If Gravatar is enabled, an anonymised hash of your email address may be sent to that service to check whether you use it.
Technical and usage data
Our shared hosting provider automatically processes server logs that may include IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser and device information, and error or security events. We also use Google Analytics, subject to your consent where required, to understand aggregated site usage such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type and referral source.
3. How and why we use information
- To respond to questions and prepare, administer or support a requested trip.
- To provide customer service and maintain an appropriate record of communications.
- To publish and moderate comments when you choose to participate.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website.
- To measure site performance and audience trends after valid analytics consent.
- To meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or regulatory obligations.
Depending on the circumstances, our legal basis may be your consent, steps taken at your request before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in operating a secure and effective travel service.
4. Cookies, local storage and analytics
WordPress and this theme may use strictly necessary technologies for security, session management, comment convenience and saving your consent choice. Google Analytics cookies are not activated by this theme until you select “Accept all”, where consent is required. You can change your browser settings or revisit the cookie controls to withdraw consent. See our Cookie Policy for details.
5. Who receives your data
Access is limited to authorised IRVISIT personnel and service providers that need the information to perform work for us. Depending on your request, recipients may include our shared hosting and email providers, WordPress-related service providers, Google Analytics, anti-spam or security services, and selected travel suppliers such as guides, accommodation providers or transport partners. We share only what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Some providers or travel partners may process information outside your country. Where data protection law requires it, we use an available transfer safeguard or another lawful basis for that transfer. Travel arrangements may also require information to be shared in the destination country at your request.
7. How long we keep information
Enquiry and booking records are retained only for as long as needed to provide the service, manage follow-up, resolve disputes and meet tax or legal requirements. Approved comments and their metadata may be retained while the comment remains published. Security and server logs are normally kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider. Analytics retention is controlled in our Google Analytics settings. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it where reasonably possible.
8. Your privacy rights
Subject to local law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, object to certain processing, receive a portable copy of information you supplied, or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. You may also complain to the data protection authority that applies where you live.
To make a request, email info@irvisit.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including access controls, software updates and hosting security measures. No online system or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive payment, passport or health information unless we have provided an appropriate channel and it is necessary for your trip.
10. Children
This website is not directed to children under 16. A parent or guardian should make enquiries and provide any information needed for a child traveller.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The revision date appears at the top of this page. Questions about privacy can be sent to info@irvisit.com.
